At Yorkie Baby Dolls, we are a community of dog lovers that commit to connecting Yorkshire Terriers with caring individuals and families. We hold ourselves and our clients to the highest standards and aim to improve the life of each puppy by giving them forever homes. Our puppies are raised with love, respect and a high level of attention and personal care. We like to question our prospective owners to see if their household is a good match for a Yorkshire Terrier. We do this to ensure that our puppies only go to the most appropriate homes and we try to pre-qualify all of our owners. Each puppy is hand-raised and individually loved as part of our family. We want you to understand making a small puppy a part of your family is a long-term commitment. Our toy breed puppies can easily live to 13 or 18 years in some cases, however, they are not the right match for everyone. Do your research first please!

Our recommendation that new owners have their puppies examined by their own veterinarian as soon as possible. This is a good opportunity to set up a continuing preventative health program, microchip, and record your puppy's microchip number. It is the new owner's responsibility to obtain the remaining vaccine boosters, rabies vaccination, heartworm preventative, deworming, intestinal parasite check, flea preventative, etc. We cannot be held responsible for problems relating to new owner's lack of supervision, negligence or situations out of my control once they leave our home (such as trauma, theft, infectious diseases picked up along the way or any obesity-related disease, etc.). Mandatory proof of spay or neuter is a must unless other arrangements are made. Breeding is a lot more work than people realize. So for the health of your puppy, kindly have him/her spayed/neutered.

We expect buyers to be reasonable in their expectations of our breeding program. Every dog that has ever been born carries 3-5 unseen or unexpressed genetic diseases. All the careful planning in the world can't prevent or predict every problem that could occur. We will always want to know if there is a problem with one of our puppies so we can amend our breeding program accordingly to weed out even any potential problems. It is a growth pattern that developed for whatever reason. Other such things that may develop include a change in height expectations, or coat type expectations, an uneven bite, or after the teething cycle one or both ears may stand up from time to time. These are not part of the pet guarantee. There is no breeder who can guarantee height, coat, bite, or ear type as these can change or show up in the adolescent stage.

What is Cross Breeding?

'Cross breeding' generally refers to the mating of two animals of different breeds. In the case of a Poodle and a Cocker Spaniel, the offspring is sometimes referred to as a Cockapoo. Some distinctive new breeds of cats have been created in this manner.

What is Outcrossing?

'Outcrossing' refers to the breeding of two unrelated animals within the same breed. This is occasionally done by breeders to bring in 'new blood' or more specifically a new gene pool, to their breeding program.

What is Line Breeding?

'Line breeding' is the basis for establishing a good breeding program. It is the breeding of genetically related individuals that are not closely related. An example would be the mating of two cousins. Line breeding is done to concentrate the desirable genes found within related individuals.

What is Inbreeding?

'Inbreeding' is the mating of closely genetically related individuals. An example would be the breeding of a brother and sister. This type of breeding should only be attempted by expert breeders who have a thorough understanding of their pets' genetic pool. Although undesirable characteristics can surface with any type of breeding, they are most likely to be exposed to inbreeding.
